Peer Review Process

Peer review is used to assess the quality of a manuscript before it is published. All submitted manuscripts will be initially evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief for manuscripts should be published in the AJMRHS. Submitted manuscripts are assessed to see if they meet the criteria for submission. If they do, the editorial team will select potential peer reviewers within the field of researches to peer-review the manuscripts and make recommendations. AJMRHS operates a double-blind review process (the reviewers do not know the names of the authors, and the authors do not know who reviewed their manuscript). Peer reviewers are experts who volunteer their time to help improve the manuscripts they review. After completing all reviewers' comments, the editor-in-chief makes a decision (accept, major revision, minor revision or reject).

The authors receive 1 month to prepare the revision depending on the reviewers' comments. Any revisions should be clearly highlighted and easily visible to the editors and reviewers. The authors should provide a response to reviewers' comments detailing any changes. Revisions that do not meet AJMRHS’s requirements will be sent back to authors with requests for corrections and resubmission. Some manuscripts may have more than 2 rounds of peer review. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts. The Editor's decision is final.

Average number of weeks between article submission and publication is 12 weeks.
